Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 And that his deeds will be seen, 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that He it is Who causes death and gives life- 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 as well as the people of Noah before them - [since,] verily, they all had been most willful in their evildoing and most overweening 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
