Al-Najm 3 of 3
Seest thou one who turns back, 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or, has he not been told of that which is in the Scrolls of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 And that it is He who enriches and suffices 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the people of Noah before. Indeed, it was they who were [even] more unjust and oppressing. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
