Seest thou one who turns back, 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then will he be rewarded with a reward complete; 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 It is He who has created spouses, male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Thamud - and He did not spare [them] - 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which of your Lord's benefits will you then dispute about? 55 This is a warning just like those of former times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Are you astonished at this news, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And you are lost in play! 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
