Al-Najm 3 of 3
Didst thou (O Muhammad) observe him who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then stopped (giving)? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 and none but Allah can avert it. 58 Do you marvel then at this discourse (the Koran)? 59 And will you laugh and not weep? 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
