Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that on Him is the bringing forth a second time; 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 It is He who is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
