Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
