Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and of Abraham, who to his trust was true: 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 then, he shall be recompensed for it in full repayment 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 and that He destroyed Ad, the ancient, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 None besides Allah can avert it, (or advance it, or delay it). 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 And laugh and not weep? 60 Wasting your time in vanities? 61 So fall you down in prostration to Allah, and worship Him (Alone). ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
