Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 that it is He who brings laughter and tears; 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
