(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 And that his striving shall soon be seen- 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
