Al-Najm 3 of 3
(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he the knowledge of the unseen so that he can see? 35 Or, has he not been informed of what is in the scriptures of Musa? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
