(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 And that He (Allah) creates the pairs, male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 And that He it is Who enriches and gives to hold; 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 None, except Allah, can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
