(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Is with him knowledge of the unseen so that he seeth? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and that He will bring about the Second Creation; 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Do you then find these tidings strange? 59 And you laugh, and do not weep! 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
