(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 and about Abraham who fulfilled his duty (to God)? 37 that no soul shall bear the burden of another; 38 That man can have nothing but what he strives for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 Thamud, 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 Of it, [from those] besides Allah, there is no remover. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Stars (Al-Najm). Sent down in Mecca after Absoluteness (Al-Ikhlaas) before He Frowned ('Abasa)
