Have you seen the one who turned away 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Ibrahim (Abraham) who fulfilled (or conveyed) all that (what Allah ordered him to do or convey), 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be recompensed with a full and the best recompense. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that [therefore] it is within His power to bring about a second life; 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And laugh and not weep, 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 Rather, prostrate to Allah and worship Him. ۩ 62
