HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 who at first gave a little, then later held back? 34 Has he knowledge of the unseen, so that he sees? 35 Hath he not been told of that which is in the writs of Musa. 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 Like the people of Noah before them, who were surely oppressors and rebellious; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 He who warns you is one of the warners of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
Almighty God's Truth.
