Prostration
< random >
Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man hath only that for which he maketh effort, 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 And that it is He Who made (you) laugh and made (you) cry? 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamood, and He did not spare them, 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him. (Command of Prostration # 12) ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
