Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 and that the final end is with your Lord, 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 from a drop of sperm when it was emitted, 46 and that upon Him is the second creation 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 just as He thrust into perdition those cities that were overthrown 53 and covered them with torment. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 while you make merry? 61 [Nay,] but prostrate yourselves before God, and worship [Him alone]! ۩ 62
