So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 And that it is He who causes death and gives life 44 And that He createth the pair, the male and the female. 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 And that He it is Who is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And the Thamud nor gave them a lease of perpetual life. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do ye then wonder at this recital? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 While you are proudly sporting? 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
