(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 from an ejaculated drop (of sperm), 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who earlier destroyed the tribe of Aad? 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 And before them, the people of Nooh? Indeed they were more unjust and more rebellious than these! 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 Indulging in pleasantries? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
