Have you considered he who turns his back, 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Or, does he possess knowledge of the Unseen, and can therefore see? 35 Or has he not been told of what is in the scrolls of Moses, 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 that no bearer of burdens shall be made to bear another's burden; 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 He will certainly see the result of his labor 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He created pairs, the male and the female 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And destroyed the tribe of Thamud, not sparing anyone? 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Hour that was to come draws ever nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 But fall ye down in prostration to Allah, and adore (Him)! ۩ 62
