Have you seen the one who turned away 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 that all things in the end shall return to God; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that it is He (Allah) Who causes death and gives life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 of a sperm-drop, when it was cast forth, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamud tribes, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 so that there came upon them that which came. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 while you make merry? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
