Did you (O Muhammad SAW) observe him who turned away (from Islam). 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 and that with thy Sustainer is the beginning and the end [of all that exists]; 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and the people of Noah before -- certainly they did exceeding evil, and were insolent 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 So that they were covered over by what they were covered over. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The (Judgment) ever approaching draws nigh: 57 none except Allah can disclose it. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 And ye are behaving proudly. 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
