So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave a little, then was grudging? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 And (of) Ibrahim who fulfilled (the commandments): 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that a man shall have to his account only as he has laboured, 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 That it is He who makes you happy and morose, 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 and on Him depends the life hereafter. 47 that it is He who gives wealth and possessions; 48 And that He only is the Lord of the star Sirius? 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And the overthrown cities did He overthrow, 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warner from the warners of ancient times. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 Wasting your (precious) lifetime in pastime and amusements (singing, etc.). 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62
