Seest thou one who turns back, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 Does he have knowledge of the hidden, so he can foresee? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 That He created pairs, male and female, 45 out of a [mere] drop of sperm as it is poured forth, 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 and that it is He who destroyed the ancient [tribes of] Ad 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And the overturned towns He hurled down 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While ye amuse yourselves? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
