Al-Najm 3 of 3
HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 and Abraham, he who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is your returning; 42 and that He it is Who causes people to laugh and to cry, 43 And that it is He Who gave death and gave life? 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From Nutfah (drops of semen male and female discharges) when it is emitted; 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius; 49 And that it is He (Allah) Who destroyed the former 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and the people of Noah; they were the most unjust and rebellious people. 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 So, which of your Lord's bounties will you doubt?” 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
