The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
The Hour has drawn nigh: the moon is split. 1 And if they behold a portent they turn away and say: Prolonged illusion. 2 And they belied, and they followed their lusts; and every affair cometh to a final goal. 3 And certainly some narratives have come to them wherein is prevention-- 4 Consummate wisdom-- but warnings do not avail; 5 So turn away from them, (O Prophet). On the Day when a caller shall call them to a thing most terrible, 6 with downcast eyes they shall come out of their graves, as if they were locusts milling about 7 Rushing towards the caller; the disbelievers will say, “This is a tough day.” 8 ۞ The people of Nuh (Noah) denied (their Messenger) before them, they rejected Our slave, and said: "A madman!" and he was insolently rebuked and threatened. 9 so he cried out to his Lord, saying, "I am overcome, so help me!" 10 Then We opened the portals of heaven with water poured out. 11 And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined. 12 And We bore him on that which was made of planks and nails 13 running before Our eyes-a recompense for him denied. 14 We have left this as a sign: but will anyone take heed? 15 How was then My punishment and My commination! 16 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 17 TO THE TRUTH gave the lie [the tribe of] Ad: and how severe was the suffering which I inflicted when My warnings were disregarded! 18 We sent a raging wind against them on a day of continuous calamity. 19 which hurled people around like uprooted trunks of palm-trees. 20 How [dreadful] was My punishment and My warning! 21 Now We have made the Koran easy for Remembrance. Is there any that will remember? 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
