The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
The Hour is drawing near, and the moon is split (in two). 1 Yet if they see a sign they turn away, and they say 'A continuous sorcery!' 2 They have belied, and follow their own fancies. But, every issue will be settled! 3 And indeed the news which had a lot of deterrence, came to them. 4 Containing consummate wisdom; yet warnings were of no avail. 5 So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding, 6 they will come out of their graves, their eyes cast down, hastening towards their Summoner as locusts rushing about. 7 running (with their necks extended) to the Caller. The unbelievers will say: 'This is indeed a harsh Day' 8 ۞ There belied before them the people of Nuh. So they belied Our bondman and said: a madman; and moreover he was reproven. 9 So he invoked his Lord, "Indeed, I am overpowered, so help." 10 Thereupon We opened the gates of the sky for water to pour down, 11 And We caused the earth to gush forth with springs, so the waters met (and rose) to the extent decreed. 12 And We carried Nooh upon a ship of wooden planks and nails. 13 which floated on the water before Our very eyes. The flood was a recompense for the deeds of the disbelievers. 14 And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember? 15 How was then My punishment and My commination! 16 And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember? 17 The 'Ad had also disavowed. How was then My punishment and My commination! 18 Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune, 19 Sweeping men away as though they were uprooted trunks of palm-trees. 20 How was then My punishment and My commination! 21 And assuredly We have made the Qur'an easy for admonition; is there then any one who would be admonished! 22

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
