The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
The Hour of Doom is drawing near and the moon is rent asunder. 1 Whenever they see a miracle, they turn away from it and say, "This is just a powerful magic". 2 They have rejected it and have followed their own desires, but all matters will be settled (by God). 3 Tidings containing a deterrent have come to them 4 Effective wisdom; but warnings avail not. 5 So (O Muhammad SAW) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing. 6 Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading, 7 Hastening toward the summoner. The infidels will say: this is a day diffrcult. 8 ۞ Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out. 9 so he cried out to his Lord, saying, "I am overcome, so help me!" 10 So We opened the gates of the cloud with water pouring 11 And We opened up the springs of the earth; and the waters met for a decreed end. 12 And We carried him upon a thing of planks and nails, 13 Sailing, before Our eyes, a reward for him who was denied. 14 And certainly We left it as a sign, but is there anyone who 15 Then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? 16 We have made it easy to learn lessons from the Quran. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 17 (The tribe of) A'ad rejected warnings. Then how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings. 18 We let loose against them a violent roaring wind on a day of ill omen, continuous, 19 Plucking out men as if they were uprooted stems of date-palms. 20 How then were My punishment and My warnings! 21 But We have indeed made the Qur'an easy to understand and remember: then is there any that will receive admonition? 22
