The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
The Hour of Resurrection drew near and the moon split asunder. 1 Yet if they see a sign (the unbelievers) turn their backs and say: 'This is but a continuation of sorcery' 2 And they belied, and they followed their lusts; and every affair cometh to a final goal. 3 And withal, there has come unto them many a tiding that should have restrained [their arrogance]: 4 Mature wisdom;- but (the preaching of) Warners profits them not. 5 turn thou away from them. On the Day when the Summoning Voice will summon [man] unto something that the mind cannot conceive, 6 They will come out of the graves with downcast eyes like an expanding swarm of locusts. 7 Hastening toward the summoner. The infidels will say: this is a day diffrcult. 8 ۞ The folk of Noah denied before them, yea, they denied Our slave and said: A madman; and he was repulsed. 9 Then he invoked his Lord (saying): "I have been overcome, so help (me)!" 10 Then We opened the gates of heaven unto water torrential, 11 And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined. 12 We carried him, (Noah), on a vessel built with boards fixed together with nails, 13 Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied. 14 And We left it as a sign. Is there anyone who will be warned? 15 So how dreadful have been My torment and My warning! 16 We have made the Koran easy to remember, is there any that will remember! 17 'Ad (people) belied (their Prophet, Hud), then how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? 18 We loosed against them a wind clamorous in a day of ill fortune continuous, 19 it swept the people away as though they were palm-trunks uprooted: 20 Then, how (terrible) was My Torment and My Warnings? 21 Hence, indeed, We made this Qur'an easy to bear in mind: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 22

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
