The Moon (Al-Qamar)
55 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
THE HOUR HAS come and split is the moon. 1 And if they see a sign, they turn away, and say: "This is continuous magic." 2 They have belied, and follow their own fancies. But, every issue will be settled! 3 And withal, there has come unto them many a tiding that should have restrained [their arrogance]: 4 profound in wisdom, but all warnings have been of no avail: 5 So (O Muhammad SAW) withdraw from them. The Day that the caller will call (them) to a terrible thing. 6 with down-cast eyes they shall go forth from their graves, as though they were scattered locusts. 7 Hastening toward the summoner; the disbelievers say: This is a hard day. 8 ۞ Before them the People of Noah rejected (their messenger): they rejected Our servant, and said, "Here is one possessed!", and he was driven out. 9 Then he called on his Lord: "I am one overcome: do Thou then help (me)!" 10 And We opened up the flood gates of the sky with water pouring down in torrents, 11 And caused the earth to gush forth springs, so that the waters met for a predestined purpose. 12 And We carried Nooh upon a ship of wooden planks and nails. 13 Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied. 14 We have left this as a sign: but will anyone take heed? 15 Then see how (dreadful) was My punishment after My warnings! 16 And certainly We have made the Quran easy for remembrance, but is there anyone who will mind? 17 And there belied the A'ad; so how dreadful have been My torment and warning! 18 We loosed against them a wind clamorous in a day of ill fortune continuous, 19 and snatched people up as though they were stumps of uprooted palmtrees. 20 How terrible was Our torment and the result of (their disregard) of Our warning. 21 And in truth We have made the Qur'an easy to remember; but is there any that remembereth? 22

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
