Thamood, too, belied Our warnings. 23 And said: "Should we follow only one man among us? In that case we shall be in error and insane." 24 Has the [Divine] message been revealed to him alone of all of us? No, he is a boastful liar." 25 Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one! 26 Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient. 27 And declare thou unto them that water hath been divided between them; every drinking shall be by turns. 28 Then they called their fellow, and he took the sword and hamstrung her, 29 How then were My punishment and My warnings! 30 We sent a single blast against them, and they were reduced to husks of a decayed fence. 31 Indeed, We have made the Quran easy to learn lessons from. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 32 LOT'S PEOPLE [too] gave the lie to all [Our] warnings: 33 We sent against them a violent Tornado with showers of stones, (which destroyed them), except Lut's household: them We delivered by early Dawn,- 34 as a favour from Us. Thus do We reward those who give thanks. 35 And he [Lout (Lot)] indeed had warned them of Our Grasp, but they did doubt the warnings! 36 And they tried to persuade him regarding his guests – We therefore blinded their eyes, “So taste My punishment, and My warnings.” 37 One early morning Our torment brought upon them utter destruction. 38 'Now, taste My punishment and My warnings' 39 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
