Samood rejected the warning. 23 they said, "Are we to follow a man from amongst ourselves? We would surely then fall into error and madness. 24 Why - on him alone from among all of us should a [divine] reminder have been bestowed? Nay, but he is a boastful liar!" 25 Ah! they will know on the morrow, which is the liar, the insolent one! 26 We shall send the she-camel to try them. So watch them, and be constant. 27 And declare thou unto them that water hath been divided between them; every drinking shall be by turns. 28 But they called their companion who took hold of her and hamstrung her. 29 And how [severe] were My punishment and warning. 30 For We sent against them a single Mighty Blast, and they became like the dry stubble used by one who pens cattle. 31 And We have indeed made the Qur’an easy to memorise, so is there one who would remember? 32 The folk of Lot rejected warnings. 33 Surely We sent upon them a stonestorm, except Lut's followers; We saved them a little before daybreak, 34 as a blessing from Us: thus do We reward all who are grateful. 35 He had warned them of Our might, but they passed over the warnings. 36 Even his guests they had solicited of him; so We obliterated their eyes, saying, 'Taste now My chastisement and My warnings!' 37 One early morning Our torment brought upon them utter destruction. 38 “So taste My punishment, and My warnings!” 39 And indeed, We have made the Quran easy to understand and remember, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 40

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
