The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you in the past: So is there any one who will be warned? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
