Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those, or have ye some immunity in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 Soon shall the hosts be routed, and they shall turn (their) backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Verily, the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.) are in error (in this world) and will burn (in the Hell-fire in the Hereafter). 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 And Our Commandment is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
