Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 The army will be routed and put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
