The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability. 42 Are your people who deny the truth better than those? Or have you been given immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We acting together can defend ourselves"? 44 [Yet] the hosts [of those who deny the truth] shall be routed, and they shall turn their backs [in flight]! 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our commandment is but one (commandment), as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We destroyed those like you, is there any that will remember! 51 And everything they have done is in the writings. 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 [Hence, too,] behold, the God-conscious will find themselves in [a paradise of] gardens and running waters, 54 where they will be honourably seated in the presence of a King, Mighty in Power. 55
