▼ 54 The Moon
Al-Qamar 3 of 3
The Pharaoh and his people had also received Our warning, 41 They denied all Our signs, We therefore seized them – the seizure of the Most Honourable, the All Powerful. 42 Are the unbelievers among you any better than they? Or is there immunity for you in the Scriptures? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Surely the Hour will be the moment of their promise, and that moment will be calamitous and distressing. 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 Surely We have created everything in measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 And everything small and great is written down. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 honorably seated in the presence of the All-dominant King. 55
