Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are your unbelievers (of Makkah) any better than they? Or have you been granted any immunity in the Scriptures? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Surely the guilty are in error and distress. 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 And every small and great thing is recorded. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
