To the People of Pharaoh, too, aforetime, came Warners (from Allah). 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 The group will soon be routed, and will turn their backs to flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Truly those in sin are the ones straying in mind, and mad. 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 All things they do are (recorded) in the books; 52 every action, small or great, is noted down. 53 Lo! the righteous will dwell among gardens and rivers, 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
