The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They rejected all Our communications, so We overtook them after the manner of a Mighty, Powerful One. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: 'We are a gathering that will be victorious' 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter. 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Lo! We have created every thing by measure. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All that they do is noted in (their) Books (of Deeds): 52 Every matter, small and great, is on record. 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability. 55
