Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your disbelievers better than they were, or have you been given exemption in the Books? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness. 47 The Day they will be dragged through the Fire on their faces, (they will hear:) "Taste ye the touch of Hell!" 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 And certainly We have already destroyed the likes of you, but is there anyone who will mind? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
