Now surely, unto Pharaoh's folk [too] came such warnings; 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say: "We are a well-accoutred army?" 44 Certainly the host shall be routed, and turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell. 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 All their deeds are recorded in their books: 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 In the seat of honor with a most Powerful King. 55
