Al-Qamar 3 of 3
And assuredly unto the household of Fir'awn came the warning. 41 They belied Our signs everyone thereof; whereof We laid hold of them with the grip of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, "We are an assembly supporting [each other]"? 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in due measure; 49 And Our Order is but one word like the flashing of an eye. 50 And indeed, We have destroyed your likes, then is there any that will remember (or receive admonition)? 51 And every thing they did is in the scriptures, 52 everything, be it great or small, is recorded. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 In a seat of truth (i.e. Paradise), near the Omnipotent King (Allah, the All-Blessed, the Most High, the Owner of Majesty and Honour). 55

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
