Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? 43 Or do they say: "We are a group united, [and therefore] bound to prevail"? 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the Day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire, (it will be said to them): 'Taste the touch of the Scorching' 48 Indeed, all things We created with predestination. 49 And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 And everything, small and big is written (in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz already beforehand i.e. before it befalls, or is done by its doer) (See the Quran V. 57:22). 53 Surely the godfearing shall dwell amid gardens and a river 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
