The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 The (people) rejected all Our Signs; but We seized them with such Penalty (as comes) from One Exalted in Power, able to carry out His Will. 42 ARE, THEN, those of you who [now] deny the truth better than those others - or have you, perchance, [been promised] immunity in the [ancient] books of [divine] wisdom? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 The sinful ones will face the destructive torment of hell 47 The day when they are dragged on their faces into the Fire: 'Taste now the touch of Sakar!' 48 Verily, all things have We created in proportion and measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have destroyed the likes of you; is there any that will remember? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
