And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 The hosts will all be routed and will turn and flee. 45 Rather, the Hour is their encounter. And that Hour will be most calamitous and bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are in error and insanity! 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 All their deeds are recorded in the Scrolls; 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Verily the God-fearing will be in Gardens and among rivers. 54 In a good seat, near a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
