And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or do they say, "We are a united group, and we are bound to prevail?" 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 And Our command is but one (word) swift as the winking of an eye. 50 We did indeed destroy many like you. Is there, then, any who will heed? 51 And everything they did is in written records. 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
