The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 What then, are your unbelievers better than those? Or do you have an immunity (written) in the Scrolls? 43 Or do they say: We are a host allied together to help each other? 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the day when they are dragged into the Fire upon their faces (it is said unto them): Feel the touch of hell. 48 We have created everything in a determined measure. 49 And Our Command is but a single (Act),- like the twinkling of an eye. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 And all what they did is in the Books. 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Indeed, the cautious shall live amid gardens and a river, 54 Seated in an assembly of the Truth, in the presence of Allah, the Omnipotent King. 55
