Warnings also came to the Pharaonites, 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or is it that they say: we are a multitude prevailing! 44 Soon shall this legion be routed and shall turn their backs and flee. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their appointed time (for their full recompense), and the Hour will be more grievous and more bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On the day when they are dragged upon their faces in the fire – “Taste the heat of hell.” 48 Surely We have created everything according to a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 And every small and great [thing] is inscribed. 53 Indeed the pious are amidst Gardens and springs. 54 in a secure abode, in the presence of the Powerful King. 55
