And certainly the warning came to Firon's people. 41 but they rejected all Our miracles. So We seized them in the way that a Majestic and All-powerful One would. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 Nay, but the Hour (of doom) is their appointed tryst, and the Hour will be more wretched and more bitter (than their earthly failure). 46 Indeed the wrongdoers are in error and a raging fire. 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 Indeed, We have created all things according to a measure. 49 Our command consists of only one Word which is carried out in the twinkling of an eye. 50 And (oft) in the past, have We destroyed gangs like unto you: then is there any that will receive admonition? 51 And each and everything they have done is noted in (their) Records (of deeds). 52 and everything [that man does,] be it small or great, is recorded [with God]. 53 As to the Righteous, they will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers, 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
